Our vision
At Legau, our vision is to support lawyers across the entire legal document lifecycle: research, planning, drafting and review. Our product accompanies lawyers from the blank page to the final document. Our platform integrates with the tools lawyers already use, such as Word and Outlook, and connects to systems such as Microsoft, iManage and NetDocuments.

The legal industry is undergoing a paradigm shift, moving from a static knowledge model to a dynamic, AI-centered approach. Traditionally, legal drafting was a manual and time-consuming process, heavily dependent on the lawyer's ability to find and activate the right information. This static approach put immense pressure on lawyers to manage vast amounts of data and documents, often leading to inefficiency and stress.
With generative AI, we are turning this static knowledge into living, actionable information. This means lawyers no longer need to spend countless hours combing through documents; instead, they can interact with an intelligent system that offers proactive suggestions and intuitive commands. This shift not only speeds up the drafting process but improves its accuracy and quality, and also reduces stress.

Origins
Our story
Our journey began with three founders: two experienced lawyers, Luís Alves Dias and Diogo Pereira, and our old friend Luís Lopes, a software engineer with an established career. Diogo Pereira and Luís Alves Dias spent almost a decade practicing as lawyers, experiencing firsthand the inefficiencies and pressures of traditional legal practice. Meanwhile, Luís Lopes had built a solid career in the technology industry, working with startups and large companies. The founders' shared frustrations and their vision for a better legal future led them to explore small projects together.
